In its 27 years, the festival has donated more than $1 million dollars to more than 20 charities that serve children, families and communities throughout central Arkansas Proceeds from this year’s festival will benefit the Annunciation Scholarship Foundation and the Annunciation Ministries, as well as these nonprofit organizations:
Arkansas Pediatric Facility
Arkansas Pediatric Facility is an Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR) located in North Little Rock. We have been serving children from across the state of Arkansas since 1986. We are licensed by the Office of Long Term Care to provide services for 53 children between the ages of birth and 21 years. We are Medicaid funded and provide residential services to children with challenges such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Autism, Traumatic Brian Injury, Hydrocephalus, tracheostomy and seizure disorder. We provide 24 hour nursing care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, and Special Education Services.
CARTI
For 35 years CARTI has been bringing the fight to cancer, having treated more than 78,000 patients with radiation therapy. With one of the leading radiation therapy programs in the country, CARTI treats all types of cancer with radiation. In fact, over the past 20 years, CARTI has treated almost 14,000 patients for lung cancer; 9500 for breast cancer; and 10,000 for prostate cancer These are the top three cancers treated at CARTI.
Centers for Youth and Families
For 125 years, Centers for Youth & Families has been helping build healthy children, families, and communities. The Centers provides an age-appropriate comprehensive continuum of care for children ages three to 20. The organization has grown from serving only a few in 1884 to serving thousand of children and families each year. Our programs address typical family issues and concerns that today’s families encounter along with serving specific areas such as emotionally disturbed or at-risk youth, special needs children and children with learning differences, runaway and homeless youth, pregnant and parenting teens, Hispanic young parents, foster families and health and wellness programs for the elderly. Centers for Youth and Families’ mission is to provide specialized prevention, intervention and treatment services that promote emotional and social wellness for children and families of Arkansas.
Community Connections
Community Connections is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Arkansas. Our goal is to help families address various health, developmental and social needs by offering comprehensive programs and services not currently available in our Arkansas community. It is our mission to: Empower children, families and professionals with information and training to maximize the quality of life and developmental potential of children and young adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. and Provide quality, self-esteem building extra-curricular activities for children with developmental disabilities.
Easter Seals
Easter Seals Arkansas is a non-profit health and human services agency dedicated to helping children and adults with disabilities and special needs gain greater independence. Easter Seals provides services across the state to meet the varying needs of people with disabilities and their families. These comprehensive services provide a continuum of care from birth to aging adults and focus on the family as a whole. Today, thousands of Arkansans with disabilities lead improved lives because of the quality educational programs for children, vocational training and employment services for adults, and the technology and rehabilitation services offered by Easter Seals.
Love Truth Care Ministries
LTCare Ministries, founded in 1986, is located in the historic Central High neighborhood of Little Rock, Arkansas and is involved in Christian community development. Our goal is to empower and equip indigenous inner city leaders and workers to improve the community spiritually, physically, socially and economically. Programs include: Food & Benevolence Assistance, Youth Development Centers of Central Arkansas and Urban Mission Projects. In 1997 LTCare began ministering to the desperately poor of Honduras by empowering and equipping indigenous leaders and workers to serve the needy. Ministries include: Ministries of Divine Mercy, Rescue Mission Honduras and Operation New Life.
